Philosophy

Pottery Affair began as an exploration of silence and form. In a world that is increasingly loud and fast, we seek to create objects that invite a pause. Each piece is thrown on the wheel, trimmed, glazed, and fired by hand in our small studio in India.

We believe in the beauty of the imperfect—the subtle warp of a rim, the random speckle of iron in reduction, the trace of the maker's hand. These are not just objects to be used, but companions for your daily rituals of coffee, nourishment, and gathering.

Material & Process

We work primarily with locally sourced stoneware clay, known for its durability and earthy texture. Our glazes are mixed in-house, formulated to interact with the clay body in the kiln to create deep, complex surfaces that feel like stone or eggshell to the touch.
